Looking for a way to get some exercise, have fun and fulfill your goal of participating in a 5K? Condition yourself to race three miles safely and effectively in this 10-week, walk-to-run program. Dr. Erin Ducat leads each session that includes educational workshops on proper stretching, shoes, equipment, heart rate monitoring and strengthening. Water is provided and pace leaders are CPR certified. Please wear comfortable clothing with athletic socks/shoes. Participants should be able to comfortably walk for 30 minutes before starting the program and upon completion will be able to run 3.1 miles and will receive discounted registration in the April Fools 5k Run on 04/01/17 in Bloomingdale. In the event of inclement weather, we will be using the indoor track.
