_ The 2018 Red Dress Dash 5k Run/Walk:

Ladies and gentlemen from across Montgomery are invited to put on their best RED outfit and dash, dance, walk or run a 5k to dash the myths about the No. 1 killer of women:  heart disease and stroke which kills more women than all types of cancer combined.  There is no bigger threat on women’s health than heart disease and stroke. Something must change and I am asking you to help.  Let’s ban together to lead our community in the lifesaving mission of Go Red and The American Heart Association.  The American Heart Association funds cutting-edge research in Alabama, currently totaling 4.1 million dollars. We’re at the forefront of new treatments and finding better ways to prevent heart disease and stroke. We believe this local research coupled with heightened awareness will make a dramatic impact in our state and since Alabama has the second highest death rate from cardiovascular disease in the entire country, dramatic is what we need.We are doing everything we can to fight heart disease in women. We are providing lifesaving information to women of all ages and ethnicities, we are increasing gender-focused medical research, and we provide a tight community of likeminded champions who have banded together to form an unstoppable army against heart disease in women. We have made a lot of strides in women’s heart health because of generous donations and the support of community leaders like you.

RED DRESS DASH 5K EVENT DETAILS

 All proceeds from this event will go to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Movement.  Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by Macy's and CVS Health and locally sponsored by Baptist Health.  The Red Dress Dash would also like to thank our Re-Fuel sponsor, Classic Buick GMC Cadillac for their generous support.

7:30 AM – Festivities Begin

                  Day of Registration is Open​

8:00 AM – Opening Ceremonies​

8:15 AM – Warm-up

8:30 AM – Race Begins​

10:30 AM - Event Concludes

 T-Shirt Pick up

There is no pre-event pick up available for t-shirts.  Please come to the Registration tent between 7:30-8:30 AM the day of the race to receive your shirt.

Please note that day of registration is available for a $35 donation.  T-shirt is not guaranteed for day of race registrants.

 Pets Welcome

Any pet dressed up in red will be entered into raffle to win a prize.  Stop by the registration tent to enter your pet and please remember to keep them on a leash and clean up after them.  Sanitary bags are not provided.
