_ The Chesapeake K-9 Fund 5K/ 1 Mile Run or Walk:

Please join the Chesapeake K-9 Fund for its 2nd Annual “Run for the Dogs in Blue”. This 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk for kids will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, Maryland. All proceeds will benefit Chesapeake K-9 Funds mission.

Event details and schedule

 

The registration fee for individuals eighteen-years and older is $40.00, for individuals under eighteen-years old the fee is $25.00. 

All individuals that register prior to May 16, 2018 will be guaranteed an Under Armour t-shirt and race medal. 

Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Old Line CrossFit, 301 Najoles Road, Suite 202, Millersville, Maryland 21108. Individuals that are unable to pick-up their packet in advance may do so on race day between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. at Quiet Waters Park. All participants will need to display valid photo identification. Bag drop off will not be permitted during the race. 

Old Line CrossFit will lead a warm up for all runners beginning at 8:45 a.m. Live music will be provided by Signal 13 Band. After the race concludes, snacks and water will be available. There will also be an awards ceremony, a live K-9 demonstration, and a K-9 photo opportunity. 

Quiet Waters Park is located at 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21403. Runners will meet and the race will begin at the Red Maple Pavilion.

About Chesapeake K-9 Fund 

Chesapeake K-9 Funds mission is to raise funds to assist law enforcement K-9 programs by donating K-9 dogs and items the agencies need to support the K-9 such as vests, car heat alarm sensors, and veterinary care. 

Chesapeake K-9 Fund is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
