_ The 7th Annual Intown Ten 5K and  10K Road Races:

The 7th Annual USATF Certified Intown Ten 10K and 5K Road Races take place in the residential streets of Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods of Atlanta.  The 5K begins at 8AM sharp and the 10K starts at 9AM sharp.  Both courses are loops which start and finish near John Howell Park which is located at Virginia Avenue NE and Barnett Street NE, Atlanta, 30306.  Race proceeds benefit neighborhood causes including Trees Atlanta and The YWCA of Greater Atlanta.

Both courses have long flat stretches, some downhill stretches and some inclines, as is characteristic of the neighborhood.  The 5K and 10K share the same finish line and the final stretch is a down hill quarter mile section on Barnett starting at St. Charles Avenue.

The Intown Ten has become a favorite with runners because of the scenic course, high quality long sleeved t-shirts for 10K participants and short sleeved t-shirts for 5K participants and finishers flags for the first 100 10K finishers.    New for 2018, 10K participants will receive medals. Complimentary snacks from vendors such as Press And Grind, Whole Foods, Kind Bars, Muscle Milk, Go Go Squeez, Natalies Juice Company, Krispy Kreme and more await at the finish line.  Sponsors will be set up at the race village in John Howell Park.

Many runners use their Intown Ten times to qualify for a time wave in the Peachtree Road Race.  The 2017 race sold out and there is a 1,000 participant limit, so register early to ensure a spot. Do not mail registrations after Feb. 24th.  They will be returned.

Custom winner medals to Overall M & F, Masters M & F Stroller M and F & First Place M & F each age groups: 10 & under, 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.  Gift cards from sponsoring running stores to Overall M & F and Masters M & F.  Walkers and strollers welcome but must line up behind runners.  We love pets, but please no dogs allowed. Event details and schedule

Race time: 5K begins promptly at 8AM and the 10K begins promptly at 9am on Sunday March 4, 2018

Course Info: Courses are USATF certified, available on the USATF website and Intownten.com

Packet Pickup info:  Packet Pickup details will be posted on our Facebook page at facebook.com/intownten after February 1st, 2018 and at Intownten.com. 

Arrival Info:  We suggest arriving no later than 7:30 AM to find a parking spot, etc...

Parking info: Parking is available on non-race route streets and the YWCA parking lot on North Highland amd Adair.  PLEASE do not park near the Virginia-Highland Church, as they have very little parking for their parishioners.

There will be a small bag drop area at the race.  Look for the tent with the sign "BAG DROP".
