_ The 2018 Jamie's Run for Connecticut Children's:

Jamie’s Run for Connecticut Children’s is one of the Medical Center’s largest running/walking events. It is a wonderful, all-ages day where athletes and families can see community-in-action for a wonderful cause: pediatric cancer clinical trials research and family assistance at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Kurt and Kelly Knotts lost their baby daughter Jamie 7 years ago to cancer. They were so taken aback by the care experience at Connecticut Children’s that they created a foundation and event to give back and fight for a cure. They are expecting over 1000 participants!

The event features a 5K Road Race, Charity Walk, and Kids K timed fun run with age categories and prizes. The 5K is flat and fast and is a great qualifier for the Manchester Road Race. The event includes live music, inflatables, hot cider, cocoa, and coffee, and a plethora of refreshments
