_ The 2018 Pie Day Pi K:

On Sunday, March 11th the Pie Day Pi K 3.14 Kilometer (1.95 mile) run is hosted by Scratch Bakery in Downtown Durham and Precision Race. All finishers will receive a freshly-baked Crostada (personal pie) at the finish.
 

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant - the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter - which is approximately 3.14159.  Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond it's decimal point.

Pi Day is not just for math geeks anymore...  it is now PIE Day for foodies, runners, and walkers!

In preparation for "Pie Day", Precision Race invites you to participate in the Pie Day Pi K at 8 am on Sunday March 11, 2018.

The Pie Day Pi K is hosted by Precision Race and Scratch Bakery in Durham. After a 3.14K run (1.95 miles), enjoy a Scratch-baked "crostada" (personal pie).  Last year's pies were apple and chocolate-sea salt.  What will this year bring?

Many runners tell us that they have enough race shirts, so you have the option to purchase a shirt if you want one.  Can you decode the message in the math symbols above the logo on the shirt?  



A very limited number of shirts are still available.  If you don't see your size when you register, then they are sold out, so register soon if you want to purchase one.

Saturday 3/11:  Advanced check-in from 4-7 pm at Omega Sports in New Hope Commons Shopping Center (5426-B New Hope Commons Dr, Durham NC 27707)

Race Day, Sunday 3/12

• 6:45 - 7:50 am:  Race Day Check in and registration outside Scratch Baking (111 Orange St, Durham)
• 8:00 am:  Pi K Race start at Scratch Baking.
• 8:30 am:  Costume contest and race awards

• Top 3 M & F Overall
• Top M & F in these Age Groups:  15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
