11:00am 10K Run, 3 mile walk will immediately follow runners

Description: The 8th Annual Tortoise and the Hare 10k is a fundraiser for the development continuation of the Salisbury Parks and Recreation’s Partridge Brook Park. This event also includes a 1 mile kids fun run and offers a 3 mile walk. The 10K Run is a mix of trail & road, while the walk is contained all within the Salisbury Rail Trail.

Course: 10k (1.8 miles on the Ghost Trail and the rest on the road going against traffic) and the 3 mile walk (on the Ghost Trail).

Kids Run: This 1 Mile Kids Fun Run will kick off at 10:30am. This category doesn’t include a race t-shirt, but all kids will receive a finishers medal. If your child is under 15 and wishes to participate in the 10K and the 1 mile Kids Run please sign he/she in the Youth Under 15 category so he/she will receive an official race time.

Parking: DPW and Hilton Senior Center, 39/43 Lafayette Rd., Salisbury, MA

Packet Pickup/Race Day Reg: 9-10:30am at the Hilton Senior Center (43 Lafayette Road). There will be no early packet pickup, unless otherwise noted.

$30 until 4/13
$40 on race day
Youth Under 15- $20 (no price increase)
3 Mile Walk: $20
1 Mile Kids Run: $10

Swag: Dry fit, super soft custom t-shirt, guaranteed to all runners and walkers who sign up by April 7th.

Awards: Top Overall Male and Female Hare, Top 3 Male and Female Hare in each of the following age groups: youth under 14, youth under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ and the Top Male and Female Tortoise. All participants in the Kids 1m Fun Run will take home a finishers prize.

Post Race Festivities: Food and drink will be available for participants. Ipswich Ale Brewery will have their Tap mobile on site serving up iced cold beer for those 21+. And of course our MC, Michael Bernier, will be keeping us entertained throughout the course of the event.

Beneficiary: 100% of the net proceeds will be allocated to the Salisbury Parks and Recreation for the continued development of the Partridge Brook Park.

Weather: This event will take place rain/snow or shine!  There will be no refunds.
