2018 Sri Chinmoy Half-Marathon - Rockland Lake

-) Join us on Sunday, October 21, for the Second Annual Sri Chinmoy Half-Marathon at Rockland Lake State Park, featuring a scenic, "pancake flat" and fast 2.9 mile loop around the lake. The perfect PR race!

Bag check, aid stations every mile, free T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by October 5), medals for all finishers, and our famous post-race pancake breakfast!

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE FROM MANHATTAN:

Sit back, relax, and let someone else do the driving!

Our dedicated shuttle bus service from Grand Central Station, Manhattan direct to Rockland Lake is available for an additional fee: $25 roundtrip per person through October 5, $35/person through October 19. The option is available on both Redpodium and Active during the registration process.

7AM departure, return by 1:30 PM. You must purchase shuttle seats in advance (no race-day walk-ups, sorry). The shuttle is open to non-participants as well - you can purchase additional seats for friends / relatives. Shuttle seats only (without race registration) can be purchased anytime on our RedPodium Registration page.

T-SHIRTS:

Free race T-shirts guaranteed for all participants registered by Friday, October 5.
For participants registered after October 5, remaining T-Shirts will be available after the race on a first-come first-serve basis.

POST-RACE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable when they’re earned, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day! And yes, friends and family are welcome to dig in, too.

TIME LIMITS:

All participants have until 11:45 AM (3 hrs 15 minutes) to finish the race, which is a minimum average pace of 15 min/mile.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

All participants must be 16 or older to compete.

REGISTRATION AND FEES:

We strongly recommend pre-registering for this event, race-day registration may not be available.

Register Online through RedPodium or Active.  Processing fee applies, RedPodium has lowest fee.
Register by mail: Avoid processing fee! Entry must be postmarked NO LATER than Friday, October 5 to be accepted.

Early registration:  $40 through Friday, October 5 (by mail or online)
Late registration:  $50 through Friday, October 19, 5:00 PM (online only)
Race-day registration, IF AVAILABLE:  $60, 7:15-8:00 AM on race-day.  Cash, check, money order ONLY. (Sorry, no credit cards).  Please check our race webpage on October 20 to see if race-day registration will be offered.

Remember: Register early and save yourself a few bucks, guarantee yourself a T-shirt, and make things easier for us!

Entries cannot be transferred to another person.

RACE NUMBER PICKUP:

Number pickup will be on race day only, between 7:30-8:15 AM

Scenic paved pathway around Rockland Lake.  Start is near Parking field 5, begins with a 1.3 mile out-and back section along the south end of the lake (past the pool and back), then four complete laps of the lake (clockwise), finishing again near Parking Field 5.  All runners laps will be counted by race volunteers.  For the purposes of lap counting, the first 1.3 mile section is included in the first lap.
