_ The 2018 Towpath Marathon (10k, Half & Full):

Canalway Partners hosts the Towpath Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K every fall in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. 

The event showcases some of the most beautiful segments of the historic Towpath Trail located between Akron and Cleveland. The Towpath Marathon is one of few marathons that take place in a national park, and many consider it a unique specialty race due to the setting and time of year in which it is run. All proceeds from the event benefit Canalway Partners, an organization that has been actively developing and participating in a variety of events and projects to preserve, promote and educate the public about the area surrounding one of Northeast Ohio’s most valuable resources – our park system along the Ohio Canal. Friday, October 5th
3:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Packet pickup-Boston Mills Ski Resort-7100 Riverview Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264

Saturday, October 6th
9:00 am - 5:00 pm - Packet pickup and full expo-Boston Mills Ski Resort-7100 Riverview Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264

 Sunday, October 7th
7:00 am - WALKERS  start FULL marathon-Mile Marker 1 of Towpath Trail, just South of Boston Store Visitor Center
7:00 am - WALKERS start HALF marathon-Mile Marker 1 of Towpath Trail, just South of Boston Store Visitor Center
7:00 am - 8:45 am - Roads Close for Boston Mills and Brandywine
8:00 am - RUNNERS start Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K begins. 10K walkers start with 10K runners and full runners at Boston Mills. Half runners start at Brandywine Ski Resort.
9:00 am - Bus shuttle service from Boston Mills parking lot to Brandywine Ski Resort begins for runners who have finished the Half Marathon.  Shuttle available to talk runners back to host hotels.

9:00 am - Beer Garden Opens

9:30 am - Award ceremonies begin and continue at regular intervals throughout the day
1:30 pm - Bus shuttle service from Boston Mills parking area to Brandywine Ski Resort ends. Brandywine Ski resort parking area closes at 3:00pm

2:00pm Marathon course closes
