_ The 2018 Shark Run 5K:

This is the 12th annual Shark Run 5k through the gorgeous town of Bay Head. Sponsored by the Bay Head Home & School this is our largest fundraiser to provide extracurricular activities, enhancements for the classroom, curriculum and school grounds, clubs, sports equipment, class trips and after school programs for all grades.

Entry Fee: $25.00 until September 6, $35.00 late registration

      Entry Fee includes t shirt and giveaways while supplies last - Early Registration will receive exclusive giveaways

                  Kids Race (only) entry fee: $15 includes award and t-shirt (no t-shirt guarantee for late registrants)

Event Schedule

•7:00am-8:15am- Race day registration, online runner bag and race # pick-up
•8:00am-Star Spangled Banner
•8:10am-  Runners/walkers will be escorted to the starting line
•8:30am- Run/Walk START
•9:30am- Awards to be announced
•9:45am- Kids race begins behind Municipal Building

•The excellent spread we provide for all our participants include, bagels, fresh fruit, bottled water

Event Staff

All along our certified course and in the fire house parking lot we will have Bay Head Elementary School Parents. The Shark Run Staff will have either an orange t-shirt on or an orange  vest on. If you have any questions or need assistance during the race please don’t hesitate to ask them.

The Point Pleasant First Aid will be located in the Bay Head Fire House parking lot by the finish line for the entire event for any medical needs. 

1.Runners/Walkers  will be escorted from the Bay Head firehouse, located at 81 Bridge Avenue, at 8:10am, by the race volunteers, to the starting line located at the corner of East Avenue and Karge Street.

2.Runners will head South on East Avenue, hitting the first mile marker between Strickland and Mathis Streets

3.At the end of East Avenue, make a right on Lyman Street

4.Cross Route 35

5.Make a right onto Barnegat Lane, hitting the 2nd mile marker just North of Bergen Avenue

6.Barnegat Lane turns into Clayton Avenue

7.Clayton Avenue ends and turns into  Lake Avenue

8.Left onto Bridge Avenue

9.Left into the Municipal Parking lot to FINISH LINE
