_ The 2018 Doggie Dash Certified 5K + 10K Run/Walk Fundraiser for Haven Humane Society:

Join us at the iconic Sundial Bridge along the Sacramento River Trail in Redding for the only certified and dog-friendly Run/Walk fundraiser in Shasta County! Run for fitness or stroll along the trail.  Dutch Brothers Coffee will be available for purchase.

Haven Humane Society is a non-profit animal welfare organization that depends on donations and fundraisers to finance our animal shelter, veterinary clinic and adoption services. Your registration fee and T-shirt purchase will support our services and programs, and bring us closer to our goal of becoming a No Kill Shelter by 2021.

Directions and parking

Take the Turtle Bay exit off of Highway 44. Parking is available at the entrance to Turtle Bay Exploration Park along Sundial Bridge Drive. 

Check-In for Pre-Registered Participants

8:15 to 8:45 a.m. 

On the patio at the south end of the Sundial Bridge.

Receive your event T-shirt (if pre-purchased) and your run bib.

Each participant shall wear the official event run bib; your bib number must be visible.

Same-Day Registration

8:00 to 8:45 a.m. 

On the patio at the south end of the Sundial Bridge.

Participants must read and sign event waiver for self and for children under age 18.

Pay your fee and receive your run bib here. We accept cash or card.

Start time for all participants is 9:15 a.m. 

The 5K and 10K courses are certified. The courses are marked, and our volunteers provide direction at turning points. We have 3 water stations along the course for people and their dogs.

5K Route - Start at south end of Sundial Bridge. Proceed north across the bridge and a right turn takes you across a small footbridge to Arboretum Loop. Complete the loop and proceed west to Arboretum Gardens. Follow signs to turn right onto Willow Loop. Complete the loop and turn right to the turn-around in Arboretum Gardens. Return to Sundial Bridge and cross the bridge to the finish line.

10K Route - Start near the south end of Sundial Bridge. Proceed east along the Sacramento River on Eagle Trail. Follow the course to the turn-around and return on Eagle Trail. Make an immediate right turn onto the Sundial Bridge. From here, follow 5K course as described above.

Bringing your dog?

• Use a 6-foot (or shorter) non-retractable leash during the event
• Make sure your dog has a current ID and rabies vaccination
• Bring bags and make sure to clean up after your dog
• Do not bring dogs that do not get along with other dogs! 

Event T-shirts may be available for purchase at event; sizes and quantities are limited.  We highly recommend that you purchase your T-shirt on-line when you register.

Awards begin at 10:30 a.m.

Course closes at 11:00 a.m.
