_ The 4th Annual Valor Run 10 Miler/ 5K With 13.1 Be Strong Be Worth Challenge:

This is a 10 mile or 5k trail run honoring our post 911 women especially those who died in service to our nation. New this year is the 13.1 Be Strong Be Worth Challenge. Run both the 5k and 10 miler course. The 10 miler is a loop with few miles of technical trails. The 5k is an out-and-back on fairly easy trails. Enjoy the Mile of Valor on the 10 miler course and help remember the 161 who died in service. There is a 2.5 hour limit on the 10 miler.

Event details and schedule

Registration: fee includes race entry, parking fee, T-shirt, medal, photos, post-race party, on-course hydration, on-course nutrition (10 miler only).

Packet Pick-up: There will be no race day packet pickup unless you are an out of state resident. Friday 5/18/18: American Brew, 3584 East Stratford Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 5pm-9pm. Saturday 5/19/18 will be at Fleet Feet 11am-2pm 4001 Virginia Beach BLVD, Virginia Beach, VA.

Virtual race fee:  includes T-shirt, medal and shipping. All packages will be shipped out after May 20, 2018. 

Registration Prices: 

5K: $45 before April 21 / $50 April 21-May 19 / $55 Race Day (if not sold out)

10 Miler: $55 before April 21/ $65 April 21-May 19 / $70 Race Day (if not sold out)

13.1 Challenge: $80 before April 21/ $90.00 April 21-May 19/ $95.00 (if not sold out)

Virtual: 5k $45.00, Virtual 10 Miler $55.00, Virtual 13.1 Challenge $80.00. Must be registered by March 10 to be guaranteed a medal. All medals and t-shirts for Virtual Races will be mailed after 5/20/18. 

Valor Run 2018 shirt: If you are a runner purchasing this years Valor Run Shirt it will be given to you at packet picket up.  If you purchase the shirt only it will be shipped within 30 days of purchase. This is purchased as an additional item at the end of your race registration.  If you would only like to purchase the t-shirt please select Valor Run t shirt only registration option.  The picture of the shirt is able to be viewed at the end of the transaction in the additional merchandise category.

Time and location: Start and finish at the Narrows in First Landing. Parking fees included in all race entries. Passes will be given at packet pickup. 

7:30am race day registration at First Landing State Park (if there are available spots)

8:30am race start 5k and all challenge runners 

9:30am race start 10 miler 

9:45 Awards 5K/ 12:30 awards 10 miler/overall challenge awards 

12:30pm post-race party at Murphy's Irish Pub: 2914 Pacific Avenue, Virginia Beach

Awards: Top two male and female runners overall including the top 2 male and female challenge runners as well as to the top two male and female finishers in each of the following age brackets for the 10 miler and the 5K: 19&U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60&O. 

T-shirts: T-shirts are short sleeve, soft style cotton blend by District T. They are available in unisex.  Sizes not guaranteed after May 10, 2018
