_ The 2018 Donut Fun Run/Walk 5K:

As an extension of National Crime Victim Rights Week 2018, we’re putting together our 2nd annual family-friendly 5K to organize our community’s resources and to showcase how we work together to raise awareness for victims of crime.

The 5K Donut Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with the route going through Mount Pleasant’s downtown park system. This year’s theme for Crime Victims’ Rights Week is “Expand the Circle, Reach all Victims.” This theme reflects a vision for the future in which victims are strengthened by the response they receive and how organizations work together to seek collective justice and to provide healing.

All proceeds will go to Women's Aid Service; our local Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault agency. Women's Aid Service works to support and empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence through counseling, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, 24/7 crisis line and community outreach initiatives.

Event details and schedule

Registration begins at 9:30am and the race will begin approximately at 10:00am. Assorted donuts, fruits, coffee and more provided by our local sponsers will be provided before, during and after the race.
