RECTIFY: THE RACE 5K/10K Cancer Run/Wallk 2018 is a celebration of LIFE AFTER CANCER for ALL CANCER survivors!

During this life-changing battle, patients can often get overly consumed combating medicinal side effects, managing treatments and recuperating from surgeries, that it can be hard to remember how to survive once its all over. Participating in this race reminds individuals that there is life-after the limitations of cancer.

So come out and put some SOLE into this race! We ALL know someone who has been affected by cancer. Did you know that your registration helps to feed patients and their families during chemotherapy, radiation and supportive surgeries?

RECTIFY: THE RACE 5K/10K Cancer Run/Walk gives you a chance to support the FREE patient programs for cancer survivors and their families.

FINISHER'S MEDALS (we all love the BLING!)

Each year we distribute a custom medal to all RECTIFY: THE RACE finishers! YES, even virtual/satellite registrants!

We want everyone to know how important their fitness journey is--whether it is his/her 1st race or 100th race--we are proud of you, in addition to recognizing the importance of the race and what it means to our cancer survivors!

TROPHIES

Headquarters:

Top overall 5K AND 10K finishers (male and female) will be awarded trophies along with top male and female competitors for each age category.

Virtual/Satellite Meet Ups: ONLY Overall male and female finishers for the 5K and 10K distances will be awarded trophies at virtual/satellite locations.

SATELLITE/VIRTUAL OPTIONS

Of course we want EVERYONE to join us in Bladensburg for RECTIFY: THE RACE, but we know that just isn't realistic for everyone who supports The Ferguson Foundation Inc. with so many of our followers across the country, we offer you the option to run in YOUR town, DOWNTOWN, or OUT-OF-TOWN. 

This works well for anyone who needs to have his or her packed mailed to their residence. 

YES! You still receive all the goodies you would if you were with us in person, including race shirt AND medal. Note: All virtual/satellite options have shipping already included!

COURSE INFORMATION-HDQ

TERRAIN

The race starts and finishes at the beautifully scenic Bladensbury Waterfront Park with a mostly-flat trip along the Anacostia Tributary Trails, that winds through the stream valley, accentuating the natural environment. The continuous greenway traverses a variety of natural environments from woodlands to open fields, including many wetlands. But not to worry, the ENTIRE COURSE IS PAVED! 

Satellite/Virtual Sites - Will vary

WATER STATIONS- HDQ

[5K Distance]  

One water station will be located at 1.5 miles (turn point) with a returning hydration station with post-race snacks and beverages.

[10K Distance] 

Three water stations will be available for the 10K distance. One (1) at 1.5 miles, one (1) at 3.1 miles (turn point) and one (1) at 4.6 miles with a returning hydration station with post-race snacks and beverages.
