Event details and schedule

100th Marathon - RUN LIKE A MOTHER - Here We Go! 

Date: Sunday, May 13 Mother’s Day (opportunity to double with Marigold 10K on Saturday, 12 May)

Start time: 0730 (other options: virtual, early, late participation)

Locale: Start and Finish at the Glass Building on 624 S Milledge Ave, Athens, GA 30605(home of Give Back, Team Reign, and Your Pie Franchise). Park somewhere nearby so we can use parking lot for staging pre, during, and post fun.

Distances: Relay, 6.5, 13.1, 19.5, 26.2 - you can always run as far as you want and come back to finish

Participant Goal:100

Timing: Personal timing provided by your choice in personal device. I will be using my net time with pauses for restrooms, pictures, etc.

Course: 4 loops - TBD with hope that Al is not incorporating every hill in area

Shirts: yes 

Medals/Non-Medals:  Recycled medals and some award for each lap completed 

Awards/Prizes/Raffle: yes, a raffle is always fun. No time awards - it’s not a PR course and people should slow down and enjoy the May weather and hilly course

Food/Beverage: yes TBD but I like pizza, coffee, beer, bagels and chocolate milk

Bibs: special bib for all participants and can always flair it up with markers, etc. if desire to make it even more special

Unique stuff: 1) Loops and award for each lap 2) Athens marathon on Mother’s Day 3)

Cost: $40.00 with +$15 per relay member - any extra money will be donated to charity or to buy some raffle items. If any extra costs, Monica will pay since her marathon celebration and just happy people sharing the day.
