_ The 2018 1st Lt. Mark Dooley 5K Run/Walk:

The Southern Ulster Rotary Club presents the 1st Lt. Mark Dooley 5K Race of Honor.  This race is a benefit for the Rotary, which supports the local community. 

Event details and schedule

PRICE:   

$17.00 pre-registration or 

$20.00 day of race.  

There will be a continental breakfast at the park and all pre-registration will receive a race t-shirt (limited quantities day of race).  

TIME:

Runners and walkers start at 9:00am, and must be checked in by 8:30am.

PARKING: 

There is ample parking around Thomas Felten Park (race site).  Please follow volunteers as they direct you where to park.

COURSE:

This is an out and back on Patura Road in Modena New York.  The course is the same for runners and walkers.  The elevation starts off on a slight down hill and a gradual up to the turnaround, then downhill with a slight up at the end.

NUTRITION: 

There will be water stations at the 1 mile and 2 mile markers.  

IMPORTANT:

Although the race will be closed off to traffic, we cannot stop those who live on the Patura Road from getting to or leaving their houses.  Please be observant and listen to all volunteer on the course.  

RESULTS:

Awards will be distributed immediately following the last runner.  Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group.  The age groups are as follows: 12 & Under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-60, 70 and over.  Runners will only be timed for this event.
