You do not want to miss this unique and fun 5K Obstacle Race that uses snow and ski obstacles making this a one-of-a-kind event! Come to Queensbury, NY-based West Mountain to experience its Countryman Challenge 5K Obstacle Race sponsored by North Country Subaru -- and After Race BBQ for competitors 12 years old and over. Children under 12 can register, but it is at the descretion of the parent.) Bring yourself or a group of friends (teams of 4)! A kid’s fun race (6-11 yrs old) will take place before the race at 9:15 and the cost to participate is $5 online or at registration.

Cost: Individual: $35, $40 day of race/Team of 4: $130, $150 day of race

Who: Open to Individuals and Teams of 4
What: This course is fun for everyone and competitors can walk it, hike it, run it or do a combination.
Race Registration includes: 1 T-shirt (for the first 150 competitors), 1 bottled water, 1 BBQ meal, 1 Beer tasting ticket (if 21 or over) and after race get-together in the bar and restaurant. Additional BBQ tickets can be purchased for $10
What to bring: Water bottle, change of clothes and shoes for after party

West Mountain’s Countryman Challenge 5K Obstacle Race is an all mountain obstacle race that will leave from the courtyard near the Main Lodge. Day of registration, on Saturday, April 21st, will take place in the Main Lodge from 8-9:15am. Registration costs $35 per participant. Day of registration will cost $40. We recommend 12 years or older to participate, but younger children are welcome and registration is at the discretion of a parent. We will have a shorter course with obstacles available for our 11 years of age and younger participants before the
“official” race at 9:15am, the cost is $5 to participate and you can pay online or at registration! All 5k race participants will receive a give-away bag with t-shirt (for the first 150 competitors), one BBQ lunch ticket and one beer sample (if 21 or older). For those not registered for the race, we have additional BBQ tickets available for $10 online and at registration. Teams of 4 are welcome to register and compete as a team.
Awards will be as follows:
Top three overall male and female: 1st 2nd and 3rd Place wins a full
privilege Mountain Bike or Ski Season Pass
We will add a younger prize category for young ones if we have enough registered:)
12-18 Age Group Individual Male and Female: 1st place wins a full
privilege teen season pass, 2nd place wins Midweek Season Pass and 3rd
place wins 6 anytime 2-hour tubing tickets.
19-30 Age Group Individual Male And Female: 1st place wins one adult
full privilege season pass, 2nd place wins one full privilege midweek
pass and 3rd place wins 6 anytime 2-hour tubing tickets.
31-45 Age Group Individual Male And Female: 1st place wins one adult
full privilege season pass, 2nd place wins one full privilege midweek
pass and 3rd place wins 6 anytime 2-hour tubing tickets.
46 + Age Group Individual Male and Female: 1st place wins one adult
full privilege season pass, 2nd place wins one full privilege midweek
pass and 3rd place wins 6 anytime 2-hour tubing tickets.
Top Three overall Teams: 1st place (each member) wins 12 4-hour anytime lift
tickets. 2nd Place (each member) wins 8 4-hour anytime lift tickets. 3rd place (each member) wins
4 4-hour anytime lift tickets.

Event details and schedule
We have plenty of parking for your convenience. We will have you sign a waiver and pick up your take home bag at registration. Come dressed and prepared to run, climb, crawl and jump, and possibly swim? That's if you fall off the leap pads into the frozen slush pond. Registration is in the Main Lodge from 8-9:15 am. Young children participating in the free fun race need to be registered online or at registration for $5 and still need to have a signed waiver from an adult at registration. Please bring a change of clothes and shoes for the after race party.
