_ The 2018 Outrun the Stigma Run/Walk 5K:

Outrun the Stigma is a 5K race to help raise awareness of mental illness in South Eastern Kentucky. Different local organizations will be on site to provide information about services available in the area. A percentage of the proceeds will go to a local mental health organization. The cost of the race is $25, but discount rates are available through March 31st. EarlyBird is until March 9th and the cost is $17.50. Shirts are included in the price. The coupon code is EarlyBird. LaterBird is March 10th until March 31st for $20. The coupon code is LaterBird. Coupons are only available to racers over 12 years of age. No shirts are guaranteed for racers registering after March 31st. Limited amount of shirts will be available for purchase on race day. First, second, and third place finishers in our different age categories will be awarded a prize in the post race ceremony. Check-in will start at 5:30 p.m. and the race will start at 7:00 p.m. Participants will be able to purchase a luminary to honor a loved one who has suffered or is suffering from a mental illness in the ceremony after the race.
