Join us for the First Annual American Masters Track & Field Classic being held on April 14, 2018 in Durham NC! There will be 20 events being competed including track, field and relay events at the Durham County Stadium. Entry deadline is Sunday April 1st.
This will be a premier event focusing on Masters athletes (over age 30) with age group and team awards on the line and at a world-class location at the Durham County Stadium, the site of many USATF, College and High School Track & Field events.
This will also be a USATF Certified event and timed by Rhodes Race Timing Services and hosted by the Piedmont Pacers Running, Track and Field Club. There are discounts for entering multiple events.
There are no qualifying standards and no requirement to be a USATF member to enter this meet and feel free to enter as few or as many events as you would like!

Notes:
$20.00 for the first & second events entered, $10.00 each event thereafer
Prices increase March 15, 2018 (11:59 pm US Eastern Time), deadline is April 1
There is a small processing fee based on the number of events registered that occurs at the end of the registration process
For the event process, it will run oldest to youngest ages, women then men (the event judge may combine ages/genders based on the number of entrants)
Five year-age group assignment based on age on day of event
Throwing implements: athletes must plan to bring their own implements & must get checked and approved no later than 30 minutes before the specific event takes place
There will be batons provided for the relays
Starting heights for high jump will be announced April 10th
USATF Sanctioned Meet and will be run via USATF regulations
Participants are subject to random drug testing per USATF rules and to ensure a clean meet. Details can be found at the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) website: https://www.usada.org
Running shoes and spikes are allowed - spike shoe wear is limited to 1/8” – 3/16” pins or pyramid spikes and must be checked before competition
Volunteers will get free green-volunteer shirt and access to refreshments
Event t-shirts available on site for purchase
Music and entertainment will be part of the event experience!
To check-in to receive your bib and event packet, enter the Stadium and there will be signs directing athletes to the Check-In Tent
Schedule is listed below, athletes must arrive with their bib number on the front part of their shirt/singlet to the event start location (Event Check-in Tents at Track, Throwing Area and Jumping area 15 minutes before the starting time
If entering in track and field events that have the same starting time, let the field judge know you are running in a track event and we will fit you in for the field event and ensure you get the number of jumps or throws
Field events: Each registrant for a field event will get 6 throws or jumps for each event entered
Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place US finishers per event (Non-US Citizens, if winning a medal, will not displace US athletes or Team award-based points) per gender per 5-year age group (30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+)
Team award based on highest team total for combined finishes per each team-member in each of their age group/gender event finishes. (8 points for 1st place, 6 points for 2nd place, 4 points for 3rd, 3 points for 4th, 2 points for 5th and 1 point for a 6th place finish)
Trophies for Most Outstanding Athlete for the top man and woman that has the most points from events entered. (Based on same point per event formula as for team award calculation)
