_ The 2018 United Way of Hall County Read & Run Half Marathon, 5K & Read-a-thon:

We're bringing together two of United Way's fundamental pillars--health and education--in a unique combination, that will allow all ages and athletic abilities to come together to help improve lives in Hall County.

Can't make it the day of the event, but still want to support the cause? Register for our virtual run to receive your t-shirt and finisher medal, or donate here.

Read-a-thon.

Not a runner, but enjoy a good book? Then you'll want to be involved in our Read-a-thon. In partnership with our Read Learn Succeed literacy program, join the competition by taking part in 3 consecutive hours of fun reading activities:

• Come listen to stories read by your favorite book characters
• Join the fun at one of our reading activity stations (0 - 10yrs old)
• Get lost in your favorite book in our quiet reading marathon room (14+ yrs and adults welcome)

Help support literacy in Hall County!

Events will be held rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather, we will make every effort to reschedule. All entry fees are non-refundable and can be applied to the rescheduled event or donated. 

To guarantee a t-shirt and medal (reading or running), register by April 1, 2018.

When you register for the United Way of Hall County Read & Run Half Marathon or 5K race, you'll receive a special link to share on Facebook and Twitter. When three of your friends use that link to register you'll get a refund of $25.00 credited back to the card you used to register for the race. Refer three more friends, and your entire entry fee will be FREE!

It's easy to join the program, just follow the steps below:

1.     Register for United Way of Hall County Read & Run Half Marathon or 5K.

2.     Check your confirmation email or your RunSignUp account page to get your custom link. It will also ask you to share to Facebook when completing registration.

3.     Share your link and get your friends to join!

5K: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Half Marathon: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Each runner participating in the Half Marathon and 5K events will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. We will also award medals to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place from each age group, top overall male and female, and top overall masters male and female (40 yrs +).
