About Our Race 
For 27 years proceeds from the Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K Road Race have been supporting programs and services at the health center. In recent years these funds have been dedicated to supporting programs for children. This year's race will support the healthy development of pediatric patients with funding dedicated to the Reach Out and Read Early Literacy Program, the School Based Dental Program and Baby Steps, an Early Childhood Development & Screening Program. You can run with a light step knowing your registration fees will be helping kids our community.

National Health Center Week

Our race coincides with National Health Center Week and this year’s theme is Celebrating Health Centers, Home of America’s Health Care Heroes. To celebrate Health Center Week we are encouraging all runners to dress up as their favorite superhero. We will be giving out prizes for best costume in both adult and child categories.

About the Course 
Due to construction at the Jr/Sr High School this year’s race will begin and end at the Lamprey Health Care office. We are in the process of mapping the course, but it will stick very close to our original course on Route 152 and Packers Falls Road. Check our website later in the spring for an updated course map.

Kona Ice

The Kona Ice truck has been such a hit we’ve decided to make it a permanent feature of our race. All runners will receive a ticket for a free Kona Ice. Friends, family and spectators can purchase an ice directly from the Kona Ice Truck.

Awards & Raffles 
Awards are given to top runners by age category. All runners are entered into a raffle for a major prize which is donated by a local merchant. Last year's prize was an X-Box donated by Walmart Distribution Center in Raymond, NH. Past prizes have included flat screen televisions, digital cameras and Xbox gaming stations. We will announce the raffle prize in advance on our Facebook page.

T-Shirts 
You spoke and we listened. The 5K for Kids Race now features technical shirts! 

In order to guarantee a t-shirt in your size you must register in advance. We cannot guarantee sizes or that supplies will last for same day registrations. So the moral of this story is...Register Early!

Race Day Schedule of Events

7:00 am           Same day registration and bib pick up.

*Sorry-We do not have an advance bib pick up. All bib pick-ups will be the day of the race.

8:30 am           Race start time

9:20 am           Free kids fun run, no pre-registration needed.

9:30 am           Awards and raffle drawings. You must be present to win.

Parking 
Vehicle parking will be located in several locations within walking distance to the health center. Pre-registered runners will receive an email the week of August 5th race day details, including parking locations. If you are planning a same day registration please check our website in advance for information on parking.
