OUR MISSION

The Matt Haverkamp Foundation’s mission is to assist local police departments in the greater Cincinnati area by providing funding for the purchase of dogs for their K9 Units.We are proud to have been able to purchase 53 K9s for local police departments since The Foundation’s inception in 2005. So far this year we have received requests from three departments and hope you will help us support the goals, mission and vision of the Foundation.

Foundation has funded the purchase of 15 new K9's in 2017 -- three for Hamilton County, six for the City, Oxford, Cheviot, Colerain, Forest Park, Green Township & Golf Manor! That's a grand total of 53 K9's!

MATT’S 5K PURSUIT

The 13th Annual Matt’s 5K Pursuit is a 3.1 mile run/walk through Spring Grove Cemetery. Stay with us throughout the morning for K9 demonstrations, refreshments, door prizes, and the presentation of awards to the top chip-timed finishers!

Your participation in this year’s race is greatly appreciated and we hope you’ll continue to join us in the future as we gather together to celebrate Matt’s life and keep his memory alive.

PARTICIPANT PRE-REGISTRATION

All pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.  Pick up your t-shirt and race bib on race day between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.  Race begins at 9 a.m.

Pre-registration prices are good through March 30, 2018. After that, there will be an additional late registration fee of $5 per person. Late registration will include a T-shirt, while supplies last.

Awards for chip-timed RACE RUNNERS will be presented to the top 3 men and top 3 women in each division. Awards for chip-timed RACE WALKERS will be presented to the top 3 men and women overall. To be eligible for awards, you must be chip timed.

Thursday, April 12 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Queen City Running, White Oak located at 5819 Cheviot Rd

Saturday, April 14 from 2pm to 4pm at Shooks Bar & Dance, 920 Race Street

$27 - Pre-registration price through March 30th

$32 - Late registration price from March 31st through April  11th (online) and on race day.

NON TIMED EVENTS:

• Matt’s 5K Fun Run/Walk

$25 - Pre-registration price through March 30th

$30 - Late registration price from March 31st through April 11th (online) and on race day.

• Kids’ Fun Run(for kids ages 10 and under)

$5 - Pre-registration price through March 30th

$10- Late registration price from March 31st through April 11th (online) and on race day.

Please note that payments made online by credit card will incur a processing fee.

Platinum Level for donations of $500 or more.  Your organization LOGO will appear on the T-shirt. Deadline is March 30

Gold Level for donations of $250-$499.  Your organization's name will appear on the T-shirt. Deadline is March 30

Silver Level for donations of $150-$249.  Your organization's name will appear on a mile marker. Deadline is March 30

K9's name (to be honored on mile marker)
