New this year!

Join us at the Columbus Zoo on Sunday, April 22nd, for a new way to OutRun Autism as we bring you OutRun Autism: Blue at the Zoo. We've got a few options for you to choose from on event day. First, there will be the limited participation Zoo Fun Run (first 250 participants only, if you only plan to walk please sign up for the walk!). Shortly after that, we'll have the unlimited participation Zoo Family Walk. And finally, if you would like to join the Make It Fit Foundation for a day at the Columbus Zoo but don't want to run or walk, there is an ability to purchase a Blue at the Zoo ticket only (includes parking). The fourth annual OutRun Autism is again being put on to support autism programs and services that directly benefit families in the state of Ohio through the Make It Fit Foundation.

About the Make It Fit Foundation

The Make It Fit Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by autism. Our mission is to develop and maintain a community of caring, unified, and knowledgeable individuals dedicated to raising money for autism research, treatment, advocacy, education, and family services until there’s an end to autism as we know it.

Make It Fit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Columbus, Ohio. Our name is indicative of our main goals. The puzzle piece has become the symbol for autism awareness; a representation of the puzzle that autism has become. Make It Fit aspires to “fit” the missing pieces together to help bring about more research, better treatment, and someday hopefully a cure for autism.

Early Packet Pick-up

Race packets and Blue at the Zoo tickets may be picked up early at Columbus Running Company (Dublin) on Friday, April 20 (10AM-8PM) and Saturday, April 21 (10AM-6PM). You may also pick up your packets near the event start at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium gates beginning at 7:00 am on April 22. Tickets for Blue at the Zoo also are available for pick up at the Make It Fit table at the Zoo main entrance until 12 pm the day of the event

Swag

Everyone pre-registering for the Zoo Fun Run or Zoo Family Walk will receive a shirt and commemorative event number. The first 1,000 people to pick up will also get event goodie bags.

Not running or walking?

If you are participating only in the Blue at the Zoo (not doing the run or the walk), you must purchase these tickets here before event day. There will be no race day purchase available for Blue at the Zoo.

Other information

All runners and walkers are free to stay and enjoy the zoo after the event all day. There will also be a designated area with snacks, drinks, information booths, costumed characters, and zoo animals that the kids can pet/interact with that is exclusive to those participating in OutRun Autism: Blue at the Zoo. This area will only be available through late morning, so be sure to get there when your event starts to take advantage!
