_ The 2018 Race 4 the Children:
Online Registration will close Thursday 4/20 at noon. You will still be able to register on site on race day.
Proceeds from the third annual Race 4 the Children will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Union County. The 5-kilometer route is a mostly flat course, approximately half in county parkland, half in an urban residential setting. The 205-acre Warinanco Park, which opened in the 1920s, was designed by the Olmsted Firm, the same company that designed Central Park in New York City. Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903), his sons, and successor firm have created designs for more than 6,000 landscapes across North America over the last two centuries, including many of the world’s most important parks. Warinanco is particularly renowned for its rows of sprawling cherry trees, which annually near full blossom in late April.
