_ The 2018 Kingsbury Innovation 5K Run/Walk/Skip:
When's the last time you ran or skipped with your child? Our Innovation 5K Run/Walk/Skip is an annual fun event for Kingsbury students, parents, staff members, and their families. You don't have to have an affiliation with Kingsbury to participate! All are welcome. Many participants gather the cousins, aunts or uncles and organize an energetic family outing. There are prizes for the winners and runner-ups, as well as door prizes.
All registrants will also receive a complimentary racing shirt and gifts.
Registration Fee
- Registration Fee : $35.00 Race Fee + SignUp Fee Children Age 12 and Under : $10.00 Race Fee + SignUp Fee. Youth Age 13 to 19: $15.00 Race Fee + SignUp Fee. Team Limited to 5 Entries : $100.00 Race Fee + SignUp Fee
7th Annual Kingsbury Innovation 5K Run/Walk/Skip to be held Saturday, May 19, 2018!
Come out and run, walk, skip or jog along the C & O Towpath and know that, in addition to encouraging your child to enjoy exercising, you will be contributing to the Kingsbury Scholarship Fund.
Kingsbury's Scholarship Fund assists students who struggle with learning differences by providing:
- Support to identify and advocate for their individual learning styles
- Teachers and staff who are experts in educating students who learn differently
- Access to integrated services and therapies
- Individualized educational technology to assist and engage the learner
- A safe, supportive place to learn
- Opportunities and classes (athletics, social events, arts, etc.) to develop self-confidence and nurture talents, and
- A pathway to lead a productive and fulfilling life beyond Kingsbury.
