_ The 24th Annual Run for the Roses:
CARA certified. A fast and flat 5k race entirely on asphalt road. Chip timed race traditional race in the 24th year has attracts a wide variety of runners to this community event. Recent years the race has had almost a thousand runners. 70 have sub 20 minute finish times. Closed course is easy to follow, clearly marked and mile markers have timers. Family oriented event with youth run. We provide free child-care, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, a DJ and, great food including pizza, hot dogs, Jimmy Johns subs and so much more.

_ The certified 5k course is USATF measured and approved. An oblong loop, it starts on Bryn Mawr Road between the Roselle Park District Clauss Center and Lake Park High School West Campus. It is reasonable flat and a fast course.
The course has a wide start and a long straight starting line along Bryn Mawr road. It continues through the Waterbury subdivision and winds back to end in the North end of the Lake Park West Campus parking lot. There is one water station at the 1.62 mile mark. The entire race is on asphalt closed streets of Roselle.
The course is clearly marked with signs and volunteers directing the way. Each mile marker is marked and has a large clock providing split times.
