2012 Riverdale iRun4 5K:

The purpose of the event is to raise funds and establish a school supply bank for educators of Riverdale Public schools to offset some of their out-of-pocket expenses.

As you may already know, most organizations hold Back to School events during the summer; however, weve found that supplies are usually low by the time the holiday break rolls around.

With budget cuts and the downturn in the economy, there is just no way teachers/parents can do it alone. That is where we come in. In addition to registering for the event, we are asking participants to donate schools supplies.

The supplies will be donated to local schools before the holiday break so that students will be prepared upon their return back to school at the beginning of the year.

The City of Riverdale is proud to organize this event that not only serves as a platform to showcase some of our local running talent, but, for many, serves as an entry point to becoming healthy and active individuals.

Race day will be here before we know it, and we hope our roads will be filled with runners/walkers and lined with supporters.

Course Info

Start at Wal-Mart at 7050 Georgia 85.
Turn left onto Lamar Hutcheson Pkwy.
Turn left at Valley Hill Rd.
Turn right at Camp St (passing Riverdale Elementary, where there will be a water stop).
Turn left onto Lassiter St.
Cross Georgia 85, then turn left onto Powers St.
Turn left onto Church St, continuing south until you reach the Riverdale Town Centre at 7200 Church St.
Turn into the Town Centre where you will run downhill to the finish.
