2013 Carlos Serrano Memorial PHP 5k:

The PHP 5K is an annual event created to promote health and fitness in Jackson County. After enthusiasm for the race grew it was decided to pair our efforts of putting on a great race with helping the community raise money for Jackson County Christmas Charities.

It soon became the organizations largest single source of donations and with good timing as the need in our community is larger than ever.

In 2009, this event was named the "Carlos Serrano Memorial PHP 5K" in memory of the races founder and the previous President and CEO of Polyamide High Performance, Carlos Serrano.

At last years race Polyamide High Performances President and CEO, Lowell Bivens, presented Jackson County Christmas Charities with a check for $7,380.

All proceeds from the 5K and one mile fun run go to the charity.
