2014 Half on the 4th Half Marathon:

The Half on the 4th Half Marathon is a fast and well shaded 13.1 mile course that begins and end in Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs. There are aid stations at every mile and bathrooms along the course.

All Half on the 4th Half Marathon participants will receive a free t-shirt and medals for finishers.

Course Info

The half marathon will follow Greenway Trail south out of Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs until approximatly 1 mile south of the El Pomar Youth Sports Complex and return on same route.

The course is a mix of cement and hard pack pea gravel.
This is a very fast course that follows Fountain Creek.
There is a light downhill on the way out and a slight uphill on the way back.

Family and friends who are watching the race will be able to see the start, drive to the El Pomar Youth Sports Complex to see their racer at mile 5.5 and 6.5 (as they are coming back) and be able to drive back to the finish in time.

Directions

The Half on the 4th Half Marathon will be held in Colorado Springs, Monument Valley Park southwest of Cache La Poudre St. For a map of the park, click on Race Map above.

Coming into Colorado Springs from either north or south you will be taking I 25. Exit Uintah St east and take a right on Cascade Ave. Take another right on Cache La Poudre St and it will take you into the park. Look for street parking before you enter the park as spots along the park will fill fast.

Aid Stations:
There will be aid stations at every mile and toilets along the course.

Registration:
All pre-registration will be conducted through Active.com
Race day registration will begin at 6:00am at Monument Valley Park.
No additional fee will be added to race day registration.

Swag:
All participants will receive a free t-shirt and medals for finishers.
We will have a woman's specifict t-shirt and men's shirts for men!
(the women's shirts won't be as small as last year)
NOTE: if you sign up after June 27th we may not have your size and you may have to pick up your shirt from a local running company a few days after the race (location to be determined).
We will mail shirts to participants outside of the Colorado Springs area apon request.

Swimming Pool:
There is a community swimming pool next to the race start that opens at 10:00am.

Course Surface:
This is a fast course with a mix of cement and hard pack pea gravel.

Timing:
The Half on the 4th Half Marathon will be timed with race results posted soon after the race.
