Description

The race route takes you across scenic Chincoteague Island with panoramic views of Chincoteague Bay and Assateague Island with its historic lighthouse.

Pristine, undeveloped ocean beaches are minutes away, and the neighboring Assateague National Wildlife Refuge offers access to the National Seashore, surrounding marshland, native wildlife and the legendary wild Chincoteague pony herd.


The 10 K Run is paired with a 5K Walk.

The walk starts 10 minutes after the run and follows a route that is mostly different from te run route.
