Description
Race Information:
The Beatin' Betes' 5K will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9 am. It will begin & end at Hopkin's Park, 1403 Sycamore Rd., DeKalb, IL.
Cost:
Is $25 by 4/21 and $30 after 4/21. Proceeds will benefit the the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the leading national non-profit organization for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research, support, patient education, and advocacy.
Parking:
Parking is available on the north and south side of Hopkin's Park Community Center.
Course Information:
The start and finish line are located within Hopkin's Park. The 5K course is a flat, scenic route through one of DeKalb's finest parks.
Timed Race:
The Beatin' Betes' 5K will be timed officially timed by Race Time.
Sign up:
Registration will be handled online and can be completed atwww.racetime.info
Packet pick-up will be the race day from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Please arrive early to ensure proper and accurate registration.
T-Shirts:
All pre-registered runners (by 4/21) are guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for other race registrants only while supplies last.
Awards:
Top female and male finishers will receive a medal. Medals will also be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in the following age categories: 20 and under; 20-30; 30-40; and 40 and up.
