Brief Description

5K & Fun Run followed by activities, vendors, music, food & fun for all! This route is basically flat and well paved. Suitable for the casual walker and the serious runner. Enjoy the celebration of our ovarian cancer survivors and remember those we miss as we raise much needed funds for ovarian cancer research and raise awareness about this disease throughout our communities! Costumes & teams encouraged!

Packet Pick-up ......... Dinner and Expo

Friday, May 10th 4:00 - 7:30pm at the race location. Plan to shop the expo, enjoy live music, dinner and beverages, etc. as we begin our 10th anniversary Motherwalk celebration.

Email a photo to [email protected] to honor or remember your loved one before April 15th. The photo will be displayed Friday at the Dinner/Expo and along the Race route. We celebrate these courageous women!

Motherwalk celebrates its 10th anniversary supporting ovarian cancer research! Emcee- Lance Taylor from JOX 94.5... 7:30 am - Registration opens (coffee, fruit, pastries) 9:00am - 5k - (warm up 8:55) 10:00am - Fun Run - medals for participants 12 and under 10:30 - Winners announced & medals presented for 5K: overall female and male winner; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals, for age group - 5 yr. increments; Other prizes: for most creative team costume; largest team; team raising the most funds; individual raising the most funds; Chick-fil-A biscuits post race with other goodies and activities to be enjoyed by all. **Registration fee increases to $35 after May 1st. *Timing may not be possible if you register after 8:00am the morning of the race**

Course Info

Paved road, mostly flat, motorcycle led.
Directions
Highway 280  MountainBrook, Exit Hollywood Blvd to Montevallo Road East.
Left turn on Church Street - Crestline Village. 
Race site is just behind Mountain Brook City Hall in front of Emmet O'Neal Library.
Other Info

Pre race event: Friday May 10th 4:00 7:30 pm Packet pick-up, merchandise expo, food by Oteys, live music, beverages and childrens activities.

Race day schedule:

  • 7:30 am - late registration and packet pick-up, team photos, coffee, fruit, pastries
  • 8:50 am 5K warm up provided by Every Girl Fitness
  • 9:00 am 5K (timed run or walk)
  • 10:00am Fun Run (medals given to all age 12 and under participants)
  • 10:30am Winners announced and medals presented - overall female and male 5K winners -5K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place ribbon: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20- 24, 25-29, 30-35, 40-44 ,45-49. 50-59, 60-65, 66+
  • Chick-Fil-A post race

Through out the event will be music, venders, childrens activities, face painting, and more!

Strollers welcome.
