Description
The Crane Trusts Buffalo Stampede 5K is the first ever trail run to be held on Nebraskas historic Shoemaker Islanda beautiful expanse of native Platte River habitat that has gone virtually unchanged for more than a hundred years. For this premier event, the Crane Trust has opened its natural grassland trails for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to experience the unique tallgrass prairie and riverine habitat as never before.
Course Info
This natural 5K (3.1 miles) course has been accurately measured, run entirely on mowed grassland trails and timed. At the end of the race, you can cool your heels in the clear, shallow waters of the meandering Platte River.
