Description

We are having our 4th ANNUAL year Run Local Read Local race in Ivoryton Ct. More than 1 mile are run/walked through trails in Falls River Trails. This beautiful run/walk will begin and end at the Ivoryton Library.

The Pumpkin Run will begin at 8:45am. All Pumpkin Runners will receive a pumpkin to paint after the race.

Awards are given to top 3 Male and Female Runners, Top 3 Male and Female runners in 10 year age groups, and Top Male and Female Walkers.

*****Remember to wear a costume which is appropriate for running/walking on roads and trails. ***

***Costume awards will be given to best Male, Female, and Group costumes***

Running and walking are fun, but not as much fun as seeing a clown or a princess running through the woods!!!

Waviers for the 5K and the Pumpkin run must be read and signed by any participant over the age of 18 years or their parent or guardian if under 18 years.

Course Info

Race begins on Comstock St. Left onto Main St. Right onto Falls River Rd into the Falls River Trails. One + mile loop through Trails and back to Falls River Rd, Left onto Comstock and Right onto Ivory St to finish line near Library.

Pumpkin Run for kids 8 and under will begin at 8:45am. It will be held in Ivoryton Green (Park). All Children will receive pumpkins to paint after the race.

****PLEASE NOTE....ALL RUNNERS MUST SIGN A WAIVER TO RUN IN EITHER RACE. IF RUNNER IS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST SIGN WAIVER BEFORE ANY RUNNER CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE RACE***

Directions

From Rt 91...Rt. 9 South to Exit 4. Make RIght to light. Right at light (Main St). *****Parking is approximately 1 mile on left near the Library and Ivoryton Green.

From Rt 95...Exit 69 (Rt 9 North) to exit 3. Left at end of ramp. Straight through 2 lights. Follow ***** above.
