The Highlands Ranch Half Marathon course was designed by runners to be fast and scenic but still challenging. Youll enjoy 11 miles of gorgeous mountain views of the Colorado Front Range, 4 miles of groomed dirt roads through pine trees and rocky bluffs and a 1,000 foot vertical descent which makes it arguably the fastest half marathon in the Denver Metro Area.
The race starts in the southeast end of Daniels Park (buses will take you from the Finish to the Start) and heads west towards the mountains for approximately 11 miles before turning north and then back east to the Finish Line at Highlands Ranch Town Center. Water and aid stations will be placed frequently along the course and key elevation stats are as follows: Start Elevation: 6,583; Max Elevation: 6,598; Min Elevation: 5,576; Finish Elevation: 5,695.
