Description
The Kids for Kits 5K and One Mile Fun Run in Support of AIDS Care is fun, kid-focused event happening for the third time this year in Northeast Denver!
Kids (and those who love being with them) are invited to participate in the 5K and One Mile Fun Run to raise money to build caregiver kits that are used to provide basic care to people suffering with AIDS in areas of Africa devastated by the AIDS crisis. These kits containing basic medical and hygiene supplies are used by community volunteers who care for friends and neighbors with AIDS in some of the poorest parts of the world. Many of these people have limited or no access to medical care, but the work of these community volunteers alleviates suffering and helps to prevent some of the complications of AIDS.
The caregiver kit program is administered by World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. 100% of the proceeds of the event will be used to purchase supplies for kits.
