What is Girls on the Run of SECT?
Girls on the Run of Southeastern Connecticut is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 200+ locations across the United States and Canada. More than just a running program, GOTR uses an innovative curriculum that addresses the unique developmental stages of girls in grades 3-8. The fun, experienced based program combines training for a 5K event with interactive lessons that encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development. GOTR of SECT will be holding it's first session in North Stonington in Spring 2014, with the goal of expanding the program to area elementary schools across New London County. All proceeds from this event will go towards the benefit of the program and the Chapter.
