Description
The Livermore Granada Boosters will host the 4th Annual Race to the Flagpole on Veteran's Day weekend, November 9, 2013. The event offers a 5K run/walk, 10K and half marathon runs, and a one mile fun run. All events start at Independence Park and go through Livermore's scenic Sycamore Grove Park in the heart of the Livermore wine country. The events are open to all ages and abilities. All race proceeds support the Livermore-Granada Boosters' scholarship program. This year the opening ceremonies will include the VFW Color Guard, National Anthem and flagpole dedication.
Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. at Independence Park, 2798 Holmes Street in Livermore. The half marathon starts at 8:30am, 5K and 10K at 9:00am. The one-mile fun run at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration entry fees for 5K and 10K are $30 per runner and $25 for each runner in a group/family of four. Half marathon entry fees are $40 per runner and $35 for runner in a group/family of four. The one-mile fun run entry fee is $10. On race day, all entry fees are an additional $5.
