The Human Race is a unique 5K that supports charities serving McHenry County IL. Each race participant designates what organization will receive the proceeds of their race fee. The Human Race will support over 50 local charities this years! This race is for all fitness levels The first 1,000 to register are guaranteed a Heros T-shirt

Medals are given to the first three individuals to complete the race in the following categories:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,
35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59
60-64, 65-69, 70 and over
Cash prizes include
$600: McHenry County Community Foundation Award Organization with the most race participants
$400: Illinois State Bank Award Top fundraising organization
$400: Name TBD Top fundraising individual (Prize money goes to individuals participating organization of choice)
$250: Second place organization with most race participants
$250: Prize to the organization that submits a photo showing the mostrace day Heros dressed in costume. (Photo must be submitted electronically to VCMC no later than May 5.)
$250: Second place fundraising individual (Prize money goes to individuals participating organization of choice)
$150: Organization with most active fundraising pages. (Pages must have donations in order to be considered active)
$100: Best dressed hero at packet pick-up (prize money goes to individuals participating organization of choice)

7:30AM to 8:45AM: Day of Race registration $40.
7:30AM to 10:30 Expo, music, visit charities, local venders in event parking lot
7:30 to 8:45: Race day registration and day of packet pick-up

9AM Runners begin, walkers to follow

Course Time Limit
Participants have 1.5 hours to complete the 5K participants have 1.5 hours to complete the course (30 min/mile pace).
Timing System
*Please note: All participants must wear their bib in order to have their times recorded. Race Results will be posted at www.mchumanrace.org shortly after the race.
Photography
There will be photographers along the course snapping your photo for some great action shots. Race pictures can be found on our Facebook page. A link to this page can be found at www.mchumanrace.org
Rules and Policies
You must bring a photo ID to pick up your own race bib.
Racers are allowed to pick up bibs for other runners. A signed stated displaying the name, phone and email listed on the individuals race registration is required for each bib to be picked up.
Bibs that are lost or misplaced will not be replaced.
Race bibs are required to participate.
Children riding in strollers do not require a bib.
No coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will be allowed on the course.
Rain or Shine
This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
Cancellations
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another event.
