Description

The 5K will take place entirely within the beautiful John U Lloyd Beach State Park.  Starting on the beach near the Manatee pavilion, participants will have an amazing view of the ocean as they run the first half of the course along the shore and on beachside trails. After turning around at the halfway point, runners will follow trails lined with mangrove trees until they again emerge onto the beach for the grand finish. All proceeds from this event will be given to Compassion International for the purchase and distribution of Water of Life filters to families who do not have access to clean drinking water.
