The 199 mile, 36 leg relay will start in the town of Weiser which is about 75 miles northwest of Boise, Idaho and just less than 20 miles, northeast of Ontario, Oregon. The course is a loop, with both the start and the finish being less than 75 miles from Boise. The first section will be run on the beautiful Weiser River Trail which formerly served as railroad grade until 1997 when the non-profit Friends of the Weiser River Trail (FWRT) was granted ownership. The 84 miles of Weiser River Trail is the longest continuous rails-to trails conversion in Idaho. For more information about the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy visit railstotrails.org. At the end of the trail just east of New Meadows, runners will continue on through back roads to the town of McCall, which is set on breathtaking Payette Lake. The course will take runners around Payette Lake before venturing south towards Cascade. The final legs run the length of gorgeous Lake Cascade before ending at Kellys White Water Park for a spectacular finish line celebration.
