The Iron Girl Columbia Half Marathon & Family Fun 5K will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in scenic Howard County. In its first year, and following in the tradition of the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, the Iron Girl Columbia Half Marathon was named the Best Woman's Event by Competitor Magazine.

Now in its third year, the Iron Girl Half Marathon is an inspirational all women's event that is about empowering women toward a healthy lifestyle.

Produced to benefit the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center, Howard County General Hospital's resource to assist those living and coping with cancer, you're participation helps raise funds and awareness for this unique facility.

* Distance: 13.1 & 5k

* Fees: Half = $90; 5k = $35  

* Half: Age group divisions start @ 12-14, up to 70 & over, + Physically Challenged

* 5K: Age group divisions 8 & under, 9 -14

* Titanium Girl First race of the Titanium Girl Challenge, along with Frederick Half Marathon 2014 in May.

* First race in Iron Girl Triple Crown
