EC TRAIL RACES MAY 4, 2014
1/2 mile family fun walk
These races head North to Old School Forest Preserve and around before heading back to the finish at Equestrian Connection for the 10k, while the half-marathon continues on to Deerpath Farms for the second half of the race. The finish line is at Equestrian Connection, 600 N. Bradley Rd. Upon finishing, 10-mile competitors can race again in the 5k to compete in the DAILY DOUBLE!
5k (limestone trail and road)
10:15 a.m. start
The 5k begins near CDW parking and heads South onto the Mettawa trail into Deerpath Farms. After a road loop, runners head North on the trail to Equestrian Connections finish line.
Fun Run/Walk (limestone trail from CDW parking lot to finish line)

Check your gear to be bussed to the finish line. Bus service will be available from the finish line back to parking, but the walk is less than half a mile (a great cool down).

The first 400 entrants in all races combined receive long-sleeve technical shirts.
Post Race Food and Awards:
Join us for our famous faire of burgers and dogs and well as fresh baked goods for a post race party in our barn. For those over 21, Tighthead Brewery will offer microbrew to runners!
10k awards begin at 10:30 a.m. Awards include Overall Male and Female winner in all events. Also, top three places in age groups for men and women, starting with 19 and below, then increments of 5 years (20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, etc.) and ending with 70 and over. Cash prize to top male and female in the Daily Double, and medals for all participants.
All runners get a raffle ticket toward great prizes. You can also purchase additional raffle tickets on the registration form or on race day.
