The Seven Stars Foundation, Inc. "Will Never Forget" the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served or are serving our country. The Seven Stars Foundation, Inc. was established on February 7, 2007 in honor of Morphine One-Two, a US Marine Corps CH-46 Casevac helicopter, which was shot down in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq, killing all seven crew members. The purpose of this Foundation is to make a positive impact on the children of both wounded and fallen military personnel through financial, emotional, and educational assistance. The Seven Stars Foundation, Inc. sponsors these children to a local camp in Big Bear Lake to help them establish lasting bonds with other grieving children.

This race is set in the beautiful community of Big Bear Lake, CA and held at Meadows Edge picnic area on North Shore Drive. The course is fairly level at an elevation of 6,850. Please join us in celebrating the lives of our heroes and enjoy a beautiful weekend in the mountains. A Marine Corps League Color Guard and the releasing of white doves will open the ceremony. COURSE:      THE LAP COURSE WILL FOLLOW PORTIONS OF THE ALPINE BIKE PATH AND WILL START AND FINISH AT MEADOWS EDGE. RUNNERS WILL ENJOY BREATHTAKING VIEWS OF BIG BEAR LAKE AND THE SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS. 15K (3 LAPS)   10K (2 LAPS)   5K (1 LAP).

LOCATION:  THE RUN WILL TAKE PLACE AT MEADOWS EDGE PICNIC AREA ON NORTH SHORE DRIVE/1^ST LT. JARED M. LANDAKER, USMC, MEMORIAL HIGHWAY AND NESTLED IN THE TREES ALONGSIDE BIG BEAR LAKE. THE SETTING IS TRULY SPECTACULAR.
