What is the reason for the 5K?

The annual Community Christian 5K fundraiser brings the students and the community together for a fun and rewarding event. All profits earned from the race will go directly to Community Christian School, for the purchase of new musical instruments, art supplies, athletic equipment and much more. The fruit of your donations will be seen in many areas of the school. By participating in the Community Christian 5K Run, you help provide a brighter future for our students, teachers, families and community. Thank you!!

When is the 5K?

Saturday, September 13th, 2014
Race Starts @ 9:00am

Where does the race take place?

The race will take place in the residential area directly south of Community Christian School, located at 11980 Irma Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233.

Where can I park?

On race day, all racers and volunteers should park in the Target parking lot (Directions) at 120th and Washington in Northglenn, CO. The shuttle bus will transport racers and volunteers to the school, running every fifteen minutes, from 6:45am until 8:15am. After the race, the shuttle bus will transport racers and volunteers back to the Target parking lot, running every fifteen minutes, from 11am to noon.

Is the race timed?

Yes. This event will be timed by BC RaceTiming, Inc. using Innovative Timing Systems RFID technology.

Will there be awards?

Yes. The awards ceremony starts immediately following the race in the west parking lot.

Awards will be given to the fastest male and female runners in the following age categories: 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 and up, as well as to the top 10 runners overall.

Medals will be given to all runners 8 and under.

8 and under FREE ($5 t-shirt fee for YS-YL, adult sizes are $10)

What is included in my 5K registration?

Community Christian 5K runners will receive a race day bib with timing chip, a custom race day T-shirt, and a school awareness bracelet at packet pick-up. Runners will also receive water, banana, and protein bar at the finish line.

***Runners who register after August 31st will not be guaranteed requested shirt size***

Yes, if your children are over the age of 8 by the date on race day.

Can I push my children in a stroller?

Yes, we are allowing STROLLERS to be used for your little ones on the course with a registered runner. Bring your little ones with you as you participate in this family fun day with us!! We will just ask that you stand at the back of the start line so the runners can get started first.

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, please leave your pets at home.

What if I am not an avid runner and not used to running 5K races?

Thats ok! We welcome all speeds to participate in the race. Come and make this a memorable event by completing the course with loved ones.

What if I cannot attend the race? Can I still contribute?

Yes! If you have a business and would like to be a Sponsor, please visit our Sponsors Page. To make a cash donation that goes toward the purchase of race supplies (like bananas, water, protein bars, t-shirts, awards and more), visit our Donations Page.

Will you be offering early packet pick-up?

Yes. Early packet pickup will be on Friday September 12th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Community Christian School, 11980 Irma Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233 (Directions).

What time is race day packet pick-up?

Race Day Registration will open at 8:00am and run until 8:45am. Tables will be set up in the parking lot on the corner of Irma and 120th.

Can I register on-site?

Yes. However registration fee is $45 and you are not guaranteed a race day t-shirt. If you register after 8:30am, your bib number and runner information may not be entered into the timing system for the start of the race.

Can I run with my kids?

Yes. This is a family event, bring your whole family and accomplish this wonderful event. Children 8 and under are free, but still need to be registered.

Can I come as a spectator?

We welcome all those that want to cheer on loved ones in the race. Please be mindful of the runners and stay clear of the course.

If I am unable to make it to the race can I get a refund?

All registrations are final. We will not be able to issue refunds.

Can I transfer my registration to another runners name?

You can transfer the registration prior to September 12th by email at [email protected] or by notifying us at Early Packet Pickup, or at registration on Race Day. **If you transfer your registration and fail to notify us of the transfer, timing and awards will not be accurate.

How can I help with the race?

Visit our Volunteers Page. There are plenty of opportunities to help! Every race day volunteer will receive a staff race day t-shirt. We ask that each volunteer donate $5 to cover the cost of the shirts.
