Description

Celebrity humanitarian Steve Harvey will host the 3rd annual Run Home Chicago. The family-friendly event raises funds and awareness towards promoting wellness, reducing violence and breaking the cycle of homelessness.  Approximately 3,000 people including 500+ children will   participate. The goal is to raise funds and promote awareness. Non-profit agencies who serve the   homeless will be able to raise funds for their organizations.

As of July 2013, there were a reported 116,042 homeless Chicagoans. Chicago Public Schools  (CPS) identified a record 18,669 homeless students in 2012-13.  (Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, 2014) 

Course Info
We will be running the race at Soldier Field. The home of the Chicago Bears.
