To play on the word senior, the KSU Gerontology Club will be hosting an on campus Senior Prom 5k Race. Runners will be participating with fun and excitement in mind. They will be challenged to run in prom attire: GIRLS: dresses, tiaras, and corsages. GUYS: tuxes, suits, ties, or cumberbun, etc. The flashier and tackier -- the better. Throughout the race there will be stops where runners can dance to hits both past and present. There will of course be ample photo opportunities at each stop. The first male and female that cross the finish line will be crowned our Prom King and Queen. For our younger racers, the first little guy and gal to finish will be christened Prom Prince and Princess. This race will be open to all ages to truly make it an intergenerational event. This is an untimed event.
You'll need to register your little runners also via the runsignup.com in order to receive a shirt. A donation is suggested of $5 to cover the overhead for little guys and gals. The smallest shirt we have is a Youth X-Small.
