Halloween Hustle

• Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run and Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Eighth Annual Halloween Hustle 5k Run & Walk will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. All participants will receive a Halloween Hustle custom designed long sleeve DRY RELEASE T-shirt and a customized trick-or-treat bag courtesy of Joe Caputo & Son’s Fruit Market. This event is held on a fast, fun, and USATF-certified course that runs through historic downtown Palatine. This is the second year being registered on the CARA Circuit. Immediately following the race, runners and spectators alike are invited to partake in a special after party at Durty Nellie's Pub.

This year The Halloween Hustle 5k is registered on the CARA Circuit. Being on the circuit is a great advantage, however it also means there are NO strollers or pets allowed on the course. We apologize for any inconvenience!

This race was selected to be part of CARA’s 2013 competitive circuit of races, named the RUNNERS’ CHOICE CIRCUIT. CARA members can compete on this Circuit for year-end Overall, Age Group, Clydesdale/Athena (weight) and Club awards.

This race is a CARA CERTIFIED RACE. It has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines. These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race.

There are NO strollers or dogs allowed. HOWEVER, you can walk the race

Race day "Base Camp" will be located on the main level in the Parking Garage on the corner of N. Smith and W. Colfax in Palatine, IL. Please park in the top two levels in the parking garage (FREE!). The race will start at the west entrance of the parking garage.

From Chicago: Take I-90 W/I-94 W toward Wisconsin. Stay on I-90 W (signs for Interstate 90 W/Kennedy Expressway/O'Hare/Rockford). Take the exit onto IL-53 N toward NW Suburbs. Then take the Euclid Ave W exit and merge onto Euclid Ave. Turn right onto S Plum Grove Road, then turn left onto Palatine Road. Finally, turn right onto N Smith Street and left onto Colfax. You will then see the entrance to the parking garage on your left.

From Rockford: Take I-90 E toward Chicago for approximately 50 miles. Take the IL-53 N exit towards NW Suburbs. Take the Euclid Ave W exit and merge onto Euclid Ave. Turn right onto S Plum Grove Road, then turn left onto Palatine Road. Finally, turn right onto N Smith Street and left onto Colfax. You will then see the entrance to the parking garage on your left.

From Wisconsin: Take I-94 E/US 41 S toward Chicago until you hit the Half Day Road/IL-22 exit. Turn right onto IL-22 W/Half Day Road and continue to follow IL-22 W until you hit N Route 83 S (turn left). Then take a right onto IL-53 S and continue onto N Hicks Road. Turn right onto Dundee Road and another left onto N Smith Street. Finally, take a right on Colfax and you will see the endtrance to the parking garage on your left.
