Description
Designed to raise both funds and awareness of the mission of Florida's Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, the Beachside Half Marathon for a Healthy Start takes runners on an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at Riverside Park in Vero Beach.
Thanks to its location along Florida's coastline, the course is largely fast and pancake-flat throughout, and takes runners along the city streets and neighborhoods of the Riomar community across the Indian River from Vero Beach. Many stretches of the course include views of the water, both of the river on one side and the ocean on the other, and runners will finish the event back at Riverside Park. Runners will have four hours to complete the 13.1 miles of the half marathon, which will start at 6:30 AM, followed by a Health Expo. All registered runners will receive a finishers medal and a pancake breakfast. There will be prizes for the top runners.

Course Info
Begins and ends at Riverside Park, Vero Beach. Turns and intersections will be monitored. Water stations will be located about every 2 miles and a gel station will be located at the 6 mile mark.
