Be part of Red Gold’s Third Annual Crush Hunger Saturday on October 11th in Elwood, Indiana! Start your day off with the Run to Crush Hunger 5K Run and Family Walk starting at 9 a.m. in Callaway Park. Red Gold challenges YOU to help fight hunger in our communities. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank, the Morrisett Center Food Pantry and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis!

Once you cross the finish line, enjoy a post-race celebration at the 29th Annual Red Gold Chili Cook-Off in Historic Downtown Elwood. This is a great destination for all ages to enjoy fun activities, sample chili recipes and shop at local artisan craft booths. The event will include Colt’s Blue Saturday, Pacers Fan Van, Red Gold FLW Pro Fisherman Todd Hollowell, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and much more! Are you ready to work up an appetite? Compete in the chili speed eating contest to win a cash prize and the title of Chili Eating Champion!

For the first time, the Red Gold Chili Cook-Off will host an Indiana Beer & Wine Garden. The garden, open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will showcase top locally-brewed craft beers and wines for those who are 21 years of age and older. All race participants over the age of 21 will receive a complimentary beer voucher courtesy of People’s Brewing.
Course Info

The 5K and 1 mile courses will start and finish at Callaway Park in Elwood, IN. The course will go through the downtown area next to the Red Gold Chili Cook-Off before heading back to the park. Expect a mostly flat course with a water station located mid-way
